Our Belt Arrestor
The arrestor series comprehended a unique design which relies only on gravity to function and does not make use of any hydraulics, pneumatics or electrics which might add additional maintenance problems.
Our ARRESTORS consists of:
- A TOP ARRESTOR (for the top belt) which exerts a positive clamping force of up to 60 Ton.
- A BOTTOM ARRESTOR (for the bottom belt) which exerts a positive clamping force of up to 20 Ton.
- A TOP BELT BRAKE (for the top belt) which exerts a constant braking force of up to 15 Ton
- A BOTTOM BELT BRAKE (for the bottom belt) which exerts a constant braking force of up to 10 Ton.
# The belt BRAKES service top & bottom belts which can’t stop immediately because of inertia devices like Tandem Drives.
The ARRESTOR series cater for belt widths from 600mm to 1800mm and is bolted to the conveyor belt stringers.
Care has been taken to produce a robust design for the harsh and corrosive mine conditions.
The design can be customised to suit special conveyors.
